Oregon Signworks has a been a continuing work in progress. I entered the sign industry in 1987 and learned the trade from a true master - John Studden of LA Signs and Graphics. In 1992 I moved back to the Pacific Northwest and settled in Talent, Oregon (What a home town for a sign business) We began in garage of my home in Talent, Oregon in 1994 after my friend and mentor Tom Towler (tomsvintagesigns.com) asked me what it would take to get me started on my own. Tom was willing to front the funding in exchange for graphics for west region rodeo banners. What a God-Send! After a short time "Wisdom Signs" was born and began serving the clients of Jackson County. From there the business and company continued to progress and my focus changed. With the abundance of sign companies out there I saw the need to offer something that was getting lost in many of the "quick service" shops of today; Lasting Quality and the Creation of Art in Signs. I saw a need to develop a niche in the market by creating high end signs that incorporate carved, dimensional or gilded features. From this concept and venture, we have grown into a successful commercial sign company offering full service in signs, graphics and design services.
Selling Wisdom Signs and moving back to my home town of Eugene in 2003 was another big change. I wanted to expand my market and enter a new and bigger dimension of signmaking. So "Oregon Signworks" was born as I learned new techniques along with old world craftsmanship to become a specialist in the industry. Monument Signs, Dimensional Signs and Hand Carved Signs are my main avenue of work as I love creating these products that make a powerful, lasting and effective impression for my clients.
WOW!!! I love what you have done with the logos. I like the fourth design the most, thats the one I want to use. I definitely want you to do the work, thank you for your expertise.

Jeff recently made us a new sign for my office. I was fortunate to find his website and look at some of the photos in his portfolio. That is how I found out about him, so I called him without any knowledge of his skill or ability. In short, we are extremely pleased with the outcome. He understands design and scale and was a pleasure to work with. He created a beautiful sign for my dental practice that we really consider a work of art. I was impressed with how he listened to my thoughts, shared some of his ideas, and then created a design which reflected our collective input. He really understood what I wanted. The final result surpassed all my high expectations. The whole process was seamless from start to completion including including installation. You will not be disappointed.

Jeff's work for us was excellent! We were under a compressed time schedule. The work that Jeff was ask to do was work that was far from being under ideal circumstances for him. By the time we contacted him we were months behind in our need for signage. Because of this Jeff needed to respond to our needs quickly. He also needed to nearly "read our minds" to interpret those needs quickly. Some of the design work was unique too. We used a chinese character in part of the signage and some custom design work in our tenants sign. We are terribly proud of the results! We enthusiastically recommend his work without reservations.

Jeff's quality is amazing. His carving matched our design perfectly. He carved every little detail by hand. Everyone thinks it is a sign made out of wood/ chainsaw. The urethane material he used to obtain the “handcrafted wood sign look” is impressive. Our sign has been up for an entire year now through an Eastern Oregon winter and still looks like we just put it up yesterday. We are completely happy and we continue to receive compliments on our sign. Everyone wants to know who did it. Jeff is very pleasant to work with and a very talented artist.

Jeff Wisdom of Signworks understood my vision for The Washburne Café by creating a beautiful hand painted hanging sign and great decals for the windows. He worked with the exterior building color and the color theme of the interior and brought it all together. What's interesting is that the building has been there for around 100 years and people are being drawn to it because it has such eye-catching appeal. Jeff helped bring this historic building back to life with his sign-making talent! Thanks Jeff!
